Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

We received about 2-inches of rain last night and they shut off all generation about the time the rain started and the lake has risen about 5-inches. The level is now at 559.33. It does rain in the spring here boys. They continue to drop Table Rock. There needs to be a review of the dam management policies. They have had a month to drop the lakes. Holding and hoping is not a strategy. The Bass Catters were able to get in a full day yesterday and have good weather for today. We wish them well. I watched part of the weigh-in yesterday and  14.6-lbs. was brought in but the last flight had not arrived yet. There were 392 two man teams. That was a good turnout.  It was a windy afternoon. We will get the lake back later on today but there is another tournament next Saturday. The cold weather for tonight and tomorrow will not warm the lake any. We are still stuck in the 50's for lake temperature. The weather rollercoaster continues with cold fronts continually coming in and adversely affecting fishing. This is early March weather. Our normal high is 70.
